A couple of years after returning from motorcycle touring in Europe I dediced to buy a house in Berkeley. I had no money, but I did have the motorcycle. So, I sold the bike and used the money from that as a down payment on a house. I got what I clould affort, and that sure wasn't much. In fact, had I known how bad this house way, I would probably have never bought it. It was a total wreck, but it only cost $22,000. By the time I sold it I had done everything from a new foundation to a new roof and everything in between.
