Starting sometime in the mid 1970's I began having at least one champagne Sunday Brunch every summer. Sometimes there was more than one, but there was always at least one. For several of those years my friend Sabra was at grad school in Texas. She would come back for a visit each summer and the brunches provided the opportunity for her to see friends from Berkeley.
