My parents divorced in 1952. In those days single parenting 3 small boys and holding a job was simply not an option so my mother placed my brothers and I in a home for children in Pasadena where we spent the next 5 years. It turned out to be a wonderful place and one that I have remained in contact with, and supported, for the rest of my life. I have likewise tried to stay in touch with as many of the people I knew from those days as possible as they have become an extended family. When the former director from my days passed away many years ago I inherited a collection of slides that he took back then. What follows is that collection, in no particular order. Last year I gve the originals to the current director so they become a part of the historical record.
